ZF ACUTOX-PLUS KIT
In addition to the 48-h LC50 value, this test allows a fast and cost effective assessment of morphological/functional effects of the tested compounds on living embryos, in 2 days after the arrival of the kit package. For more information contact us.
Benefits: Using zebrafish embryos (considered both an in vivo & in vitro model), have important advantages if compared to the cell or small mammal model approaches. Comparing to cell/tissue models, the zebrafish embryo, aside of having high repeatability and good correlation to mammal models, provides a means in which to asses the potential toxicity of compounds in the context of a complete organism. This provides much more information than the standard cell models. Comparing to rodents, the zebrafish embryo model requires less testing compound, assays are much faster, avoids rodent ethical/legal issues (embryos are not consider as laboratory animals by current EU legislation*), the small and transparent embryos are suitable for easy manipulation in multiwell plates and it is less costly.
* EU Dir 86/609/CEE regarding protection of animals used for experimental research and other scientific objectives.
Remember that the ZF Basic Trainning Kit is already available, specially designed to train those researchers with no previous experience using the zebrafish embryo model. Once this training kit is mastered, the user will be able to benefit from the advantages of the zebrafish embryo model and be ready to use any of the ZF BioLabs Kits: ZF AcuTox, ZF AcuTox-Plus, ZF S-Cardiac, ZF S-Digestive, ZF S-OMR, etc.

Thanks to our advance technologies
and world leading embryo production technology:
- Your organization will not need to do external contract research, maintaining full control over the R&D assuring confidentiality.
- Your organization will not need to cover costs neither invest time, space and personnel in new facilities for zebrafish embryo production.
- We offer Ready to Use Kits (needed embryos, materials and documentation) with methods already validated by other labs/pharmaceutical companies.
