Custom design systems for mainteNANCE & breeding of zebrafish

ZF BioLabs initiated its R&D activity developing procedures for the breeding and maintenance of the adult Zebrafish, as well as their embryonic, larval and juvenile stages. In this sense, we studied the critical parameters of the water to maintain an optimal quality for the growth and the reproduction, setting up a protocol of treatment, monitoring and maintenance of stocks. Within this line of action it is also relevant the development of non-stressing modular systems of culture, that allow easy handling of the individuals with a low maintenance and in optimal conditions.

Another important success in the development of technology associated to the biology of the Zebrafish was the achievement of a diet based on inert food, during all stages of the zebrafish development, along with a metering protocol that considers factors like the biomass or changes in the power requirements of the fish. This may occur, for example, when they are destined to obtain spawns. Please see Specific Feed for Zebrafish.

Flyer

Thanks to the expertise gained during these years working on the optimisation of the zebrafish maintenance, breeding and reproduction, we can offer our experience in this field and improve your yield using the zebrafish as a model organism for research purposes.

As a result of that experience, ZF BioLabs has designed an easily adaptable modular facility to your requirements that will optimize the yield of your stock of zebrafish, maintaining it in optimal conditions, and assuring its continuous replacement by means of natural reproduction and home-raised larvae
